Getting to Boreland

Our wedding will be held at:

Boreland Loch Tay
Dalchiaran, Fearnan
Perthshire
PH15 2PG

The best way to get there is by car, with ample parking onsite.

If you do not have access to a car, there will be plenty of people driving from Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Please get in touch and we will hook you up with a lift.

The nearest sizeable town is Aberfeldy. Travelling by public transport is possible, but not advised.

Staying at Loch Tay

Staying at Boreland.

Boreland Loch Tay has a range of accommodation onsite, including lodges with hot tubs, fire pits and stunning views.

We have secured all accommodation onsite to ensure we can maximise the amount of guests who can stay, while offering the best rate and meeting individual needs. We will do our best to find space for as many of you as we possibly can!

If you are interested in staying onsite, please select the option in the RSVP and we will be in touch to discuss what we can offer.

Other great options on the banks of Loch Tay.

If you plan to stay somewhere else nearby. We HIGHLY recommend Taymouth Marina. This is where we we got engaged! It’s a 12 min drive to Boreland.

Another brilliant option is The Kenmore Club, in the beautiful village of Kenmore and just 10 mins drive from Boreland.

Beyond that, there are a number of options in Aberfeldy and around Loch Tay. Nearer the time, we can arrange local taxis for anyone needing a shuttle back and forth from the venue.

Other useful info

How far away is this place??

Driving from Aberdeen takes 2hr 30mins and Edinburgh takes 2hr 10mins. The nearest large town, Aberfeldy, is 20mins drive away.

What provisions should I bring?

If you are staying over for the weekend, we highly recommend stocking up on some provisions. We will of course feed you during the wedding, and there will be a bar running until 11pm. Additionally we will stock the Boreland accommodation with tea, coffee, milk, bread and butter (and a few extra goodies). However, we advise you bring some additional food & drink for the night before and breakfasts. For those that like a tipple, we advise you bring some booze for the night before and any late night drinks after the bar closes! You can always take any extra back home with you.

Where are the nearest shops?

The closest shop is the excellent Taymouth Courtyard in Kenmore. It has a great range of deli items, general groceries, snacks and drinks (including alcoholic). You can also sit out for a coffee and ice cream. For a larger supermarket, there is a Co-op in Aberfeldy, alongside a range of independent stores.

What else should I bring?

Aside from your wedding finery (and your pyjamas) you might want to bring clothing to take advantage of the what loch Tay has to offer. Whether thats going for a hike, swimming in the loch, using the hot tubs, basking in the Scottish sun or wrapping up for an unseasonal rain shower. There are no hairdryers at Boreland, so bring your own if you need one.
